Their name, the world they love, and choices they make themselves. The first story is free.
For bedtime
Calm, short stories with an ending that winds down: bedtime stories for kids, or, for a little one who loves castles, princess bedtime stories.
By age
Written for their age band, vocabulary included: bedtime stories for preschoolers (3 to 5), for 6, 7 and 8 year olds and for 9, 10 and 11 year olds.
By what they love
New fairy tales with talking frogs and swords in the stone; scary stories that are just scary enough; mermaid stories, unicorn stories and animal stories. Through the year: fall, winter, summer, starting school, and in December, short Christmas stories.
Stories they play, not just hear
Every story stops at a fork and lets your child decide: how interactive stories work. If you want sound above all, audio stories for kids explains how long to play them at each age. Stories that turn on a value, never a lecture: sharing, kindness, courage and friendship. Learning a language? Try Spanish or German stories.
One about your own child
Any of these can be made new, with your child as the hero, by name: make a story in a few minutes. It downloads as an MP3, so it can go on a Yoto card.
Not ready yet? A free story every Friday
