Fall for little ones
For three- to five-year-olds, fall is something to catch: a gust of wind scatters all the autumn leaves and they squeak for help because they have not finished their goodbye dance. A squirrel tumbles out of a tree shouting "my winter food!" as acorns roll everywhere. A trail of bright orange leaves leads from the back door into the yard.
Fall adventures for older kids
From six, autumn turns mysterious: a dying grove sends golden acorns out on the wind, a tree with golden leaves wanders off on its roots, and a gnome is frantic about the prize pumpkin she grew for the harvest festival. From nine, the Spring Court and the Autumn Court of the fairies are at war, and only a child can stop it.
