Stories about sharing for kids, to listen to
Narrated stories where sharing is what saves the day: two dinosaurs grabbing the same fruit, a robot with the only full battery, a sister with the only surfboard. Five to fifteen minutes, free to play, no sign-up.
No story ends with "and so they learned to share." The sharing happens, it works, and your child sees why. That is how it sticks.

Why sharing is hard, and why that is normal
Before about four, "mine" is not selfishness; it is a child working out what belongs to them. Sharing becomes possible once they can imagine how the other one feels, and stories are one of the best places to practise that, because nothing is at stake. In one of ours, two little dinosaurs grab the same juicy fruit at the same moment, pull in opposite directions, and end up breaking it in half on a flat rock and eating side by side.
Sharing for older children
From six, sharing gets harder and more interesting: it costs something. A robot gives up some of its own charge so a struggling friend can climb the hill; a girl paddles over and holds out her surfboard to the brother who stomped off jealous, because it is more fun with two. These are the stories where a child feels the pull both ways.
Let them choose
At the moments that matter, our stories stop and let your child decide. Keep the last cookie, or break it in half? A choice they make themselves teaches more than one they only hear about. Ask afterwards: "Why did you pick that?"
