Stories about kindness for kids, to listen to
Narrated stories where kindness decides the ending: a dragon with a burnt tail, a bird stuck inside a cloud, a lonely troll under a bridge. Five to fifteen minutes, free to play, no sign-up.
Our stories never stop to explain the lesson. Somebody helps, it matters, and your child sees the difference it makes.

Kindness a small child can see
For three- to five-year-olds kindness is concrete: it has a shape and a result. Sneaking ice from the birdbath to cool a little dragon's sore tail. Climbing onto a dragon's back to poke tiny holes in a cloud so a trapped bird can find its way out. Small, physical, and finished with a happy ending they can picture.
Kindness that takes thought
From six, kindness gets subtler. In one of our stories a troll guards a bridge and will not let anyone across, and the hero notices the tally marks under the bridge are counting travellers, not tolls: the troll is lonely. Instead of fighting, they ask, "What do you really want?" That is the kind of kindness that takes courage, and children remember it.
Their choice, their kindness
At the important moments, the story pauses and your child decides what the hero does. Help the creature first, or keep going? A kind choice they make themselves means more than one they are told about.
